Hello everyone, my name is Alexandra Gonzalez but
my family and friends call me by my middle name known as Tonya. I was born and
raised in the beautiful city of Oxnard, with four siblings and both of my
wonderful parents. I have two sisters and two brothers, I’m the baby in the
family even though my brother is my twin; he still thinks he’s older than me by
one minute. My childhood was amazing,
sometimes I wish I could go back in time and re-live the past. My daily routines
as a kid was to run around with all my friends, play baseball and wait for the
ice-cream man truck to come. As I reach
my early teens, I attended Channel Island high school which didn’t turn out too
good. My first two years at CI wasn’t the brightest decision I’ve made. I wanted
to hang out with the bad kids so that I could be cool. My grades were dropping
to the point where it was making my GPA look bad. I didn’t realize until my
junior year that I was going down the wrong path. Therefore, I started to get
good grades, hang with the good crowed and focus on graduating and succeeding.
Currently, this is my first year at Oxnard College
as a full time student, still debating whether I should major in Psychology or
Criminology. Both of these subjects interest me; I might just do a double major
once I transfer. As of next week, I will be attending a prison with my uncle so
I could understand how a prison system works and learn about the prisoner’s
background. This will give me a chance to figure out if I want to continue my
education in Criminology. I realize that high school is totally different from
college; it’s more of being independent with your classes and homework. Even
though I try my hardest, I overly beat myself over by not trying hard enough. In
my spare time; I love listening to music, hanging out with friends and my
sister. My heart is taken by my love buggy; his name is Chubs, the cutest and
sweetest pit-bull dog. One of my favorite things to do is to go to the Spa’s
while relaxing with my sisters and taking vacations.
I have dreams for my future, my first goal is
to finish within two years at Oxnard College and transfer CSU Northridge or CSU
Channel Island. I want to be as successful like my two older sisters and receive
my bachelors and master degree in the field that I love. Within the success, I
want to become an independent woman and not have to rely on someone. As I begin
my journey of accomplishment I hope to have a family and a beautiful house to
come home too. And lastly, I would like
to travel to countries that I haven’t been to.
