Fast food!!

Fast food is a huge impact in most people lives; it’s cheap, tasty and ready within five minutes. There’s no reason to get off and order when you could just be lazy and go through the drive thru. As for me, fast food has always played a huge role in my daily eating habits as a child. Growing up my siblings and I enjoyed eating greasy food. It wasn’t a treat for us it was more like a choice. I always remember asking my mom “hey mom, can we get McDonald’s?” And of course the answer would always be yes. Even though my mom would make homemade food our decision would be to eat out. We would always hit all the fast food spots such as; Topper’s, McDonalds and Taco Bell etc. Our favorite place to go was Carls Jr. this place is so satisfying because the food is incredibly delicious. My favorite dish to get from there was the nine piece chicken stars, large fries and with my favorite soda coke. As a kid, I loved dipping my chicken stars into my sweeten sour sauce. At that age, I never felt disgusted when it came to fast food. The food was more like a happy moment for any child. When you are young, you don’t really care of what you eat because you do not think of the consequences of eating junk food.

Currently, fast food has been a bad habit for me. I constantly eat outside then I do at my house. This habit made it difficult for me to eat healthy because the world is surrounded by junk food; which is shown on TV commercials, billboards and the media. I tried my hardest to cut back on eating unhealthy food by exchanging it to a low-fat yogurt or fruit. Relying on junk food is what I usually end up doing, its way easier to get and cheap.Ignorning the fast food can be a challenge for me because I grew up eating that. I can say that I do eat out occasionally or should I say all the time. Every weekend, I tend to eat out or find an excuse to eat fast-food. An example of this is when I say “oh it’s okay to eat that, it’s just for today” when reality I know I’m going to eat it again. I take advantage of my eating habits, for I have a fast metabolism. It’s an embarrassment to know that I eat greasy food but I am willing to change that because I know if I continue to eat badly, in the future I will end up with health problems. I want to set a good example for my future kids because I know if I keep eating the way I am then they’re are going to eat the same as I do. Sometimes I wonder if my mother wouldn’t have let us eat fast-food then maybe I wouldn’t crave junk food as I do now in my life.
