Ever since I was young, I grew up
eating meat all the time, at parties, barbeques on Sundays and having it done
all over again. This habit was a
constant thing to have because meat to me was something that made the whole
dish complete. As I started reading the book Fast Food Nation, I realize that
fast food is very bad for you. Fast food has so many chemicals inside the foods
that are dangerous and can make u feel sick as well as getting food poisoning. One
of the chapters that surprise me the most is chapter nine. I felt disgusted on
how the cattle’s were being fed and how they treated them. Also, on how they
were feeding them newspapers. This book has affected me in a positive way
because now I think twice before I eat any of that junk. This doesn’t mean that
I won’t ever go to a fast food but I am willing to eat it once in a while. The issues
that had made me think of is health because of how the meat is process and how there’s
a higher rate in the United States who have obesity.
i feel the same way about chapter nine. You should watch then film, it shows you EVERYTHING.
ReplyDeleteI'm in total agreement with you about how disgusting the process is, but I still like my meat.
ReplyDeleteSame here I been eating meet ever since I can remember.Dito on thinking twice on eating that junk! Its sad knowing were one of the highest in obesity population.
ReplyDeleteThis book did open my eyes with the fast food industry. I too grew up eating alot of meat. When I read the horror stories that happen in these meat factories, I definately slowed down with eating fast food. I'm currently trying to eat more tuna for now.
